Hi folks,
I gave my first official GMAT and got the following score (super disappointing)
Verbal - 23 - 31 percentile
Quant - 26 - 16 percentile
-- I had been studying for more than two months, including taking the official Kaplan onsite classes.
-- For quant i felt that a solid grasp of concepts
-- My first CAT gave me a 430 score, but after that i'd seen scores in the 570-650 range. Based on today's results, i feel that all that effort was useless because i got the same score as my very first CAT.
-- i spent an awful lot of time doing the first questions (~4 minutes). I wanted to make sure that i got the first 10 questions right, but yes that decreased the rest of the time i had on the test.
-- The questions i got, the easy one were easy, but for the difficult ones i felt as if i didn't have enough time to do them correctly. Also, i felt that the questions were harder than the ones i'd used for practice.
Questions -
1. How much prep time should i give myself before scheduling the next test?
2. How should i prep to get the score range i mention 650-750?
3. I am planning on using the Kaplan material to study, any other materials i should be looking at?
thanks!
