Just wrote GMAT after preparing for 4 months, got Q50,V35 overall 700
Initially I was happy with the score but now I am having second thoughts and am thinking of writing again in a few months to target 740+
During prep I used
MGMAT guide books and
MGMAT, Veritas mock CATs
Is there a way I can get from V35 to V40+ with one to two months of preparation?
Hi deep_patel321,
A 700 is a good score and you can apply to any School you want. To increase from V35 to V40, you need to make sure that you minimize the mistakes on the test.
Order the ESR and figure out which section of Verbal you need to focus, then drill down deeper:
Which type of Sentence Correction
Which type of CRs
Which topics of RCs.
Once you have drilled down, improving the weak area should not be a problem.
1. Go back to the books and understand the concepts again
2. Solve the official questions from OG, verbal Review, Question Pack1
3. Make sure you make the
error log and revisit it every another day. This will ensure that you do not repeat the same mistakes again
4. Sit for full length CATs. You body and mind plays a big role in determining your score. You should be habituated for the full 4 hours of the test.
