Hi,

I took my GMAT exam 3 months ago and secured 680(Q50, V31). I want to score 700+. My mock score also oscillate between 660-710. Can you suggest how to improve verbal in a week?

I am good in SC. But dont do well in RC and CR.

Hi paridhiprasad,

To score 700+ in GMAT, you can aim for Q50 and V36+. Comparing these to your current scores tell us that you need a minimum of 5 points improvement in Verbal which also corresponds to 19 percentile points improvement. The fastest way to improve is by focused study i.e. study only what you need to. You may follow the below mentioned steps to do so:
    1. Take Ability Quiz in Scholaranium
    2. Isolate weak topics in the Skill Data section and improve upon them using e-GMAT Free Resources or your current resources
    3. Track Improvement and repeat the process till you reach your target score

Thats a really good score considering cr and rc aren't too hard to improve. all the best for your next attempt.
As per my suggestion, keep practicing questions, and gmat club cr and rc forums should be good enough. thats how I'm going about my prep.
For cr you can consider using a guide to get a hang of certain techniques, but for RC, I would say that practicing reading will be particularly helpful and try taking short notes if time permits.

Hi paridhiprasad,

Based on what you wrote in the initial post in this thread, were you scheduled to take the GMAT recently (this past weekend or early this coming week)? If you did retest, then how did you Score (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
