Well, I am on my way to solve the inequalities questions with the help of graph. One thing I couldn't understand is how can we graph rational ineualities.
Example: Graph the inequality (x/y)<2.
This is the same inequality which is used in Walker's post, but I couldn't pick the way it was graphed. Is there any step by step approach like first we make it an equation then we graph the equation of the line x=2y & so on???
Looking for the kind responses.

I would go this way:
1. multiply both side by y and take into account sign of y:
y>=0: y>x/2
y<0: y<x/2
2. draw y=x/2 and mark region above line for y>=0 and below for y<0 then combine to regions:

Thanks a lot walker for your time. But I have two queries.
If I use the graphing calculator using two inequalities y < 0.5x (pink one) & y > 0.5x (green one), the attached graph is shown, now I cant track why it is different from the one shown by you. The only difference I feel is the condition of y>0 or y<0 used by you. Can you kindly explain??
Second, the graph shown by you in this post is different from the one shown in your "How to graph inequalities" post. The non green area in this post's graph is shown as green in the other one.
If these questions sound crazy, I am sorry!!
