I use OG as well as GWD(a more common resources among our Chinese students)for my practice prep, however,I just found that it is harder than OG,every question I took all went wrong.....,also for OG,the rate which I choose the wrong option is very high--nearly half of all the questions, this made me really worry about how I can take my CAT or other mock tests...
maybe just as some experts said, there're some tactics/strategies inside the GMAT...what should I do???
some people just recommend me to use resources other than OG(the publishing company for OG is ''Wiley''),I've bought some materials
publish by ''Manhattan'',and try to read the Economist/Scientific American magazine, are there any resources you recommend me to use???
thank you very much

Hi mimishyu,
The best source of GMAT preparation is the official. You should use official questions for your practice and analyze them thoroughly. I would advise not to use any unofficial material and questions at this moment. You can take a look at study plan: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-study-plan-217827.html . Also, there will be many useful links and strategy to follow. It is ok to study from Manhattan. All the best.

Hi mimishyu,

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) From what you wrote, it is not clear whether you have taken any practice CATs/mocks or not? On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
3) What is your overall goal score?
4) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi mimishyu,

Regarding prep courses, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant and verbal courses, and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

Also, would you like some general advice on how to improve your verbal and quant skills?

You also may find my it helpful to read this article about
how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!
