Hi everyone,
I took a GMAT course 2 years ago but I was so disappointed by my test taking abilities so I decided not to take the exam at all and just apply for programmes that do not require it. However, last month I had to take the GMAT as it was required for one of the programmes that I am applying for. I had a month and a half for preparation but I was also busy with life and work so I didn't really get to the point where I understand the logic behind the exam. At the same time I have been struggling with my concentration. I cannot stay focused for 4 hours straight.
i was reading the posts in this blog but I didn't seem to find the exact solution for my situation. If I approach the GMAT as a problem that I am currently experiencing, there should be a solution out there as every problem has a solution.
I have always performed very poorly on standardised tests and from the impression that I've got reading the posts over here there are people that just perform very well on tests like GMAT.
My score report is the following:
Verbal 22/ 30%
Quantitative 27/ 16%
Analytical Writing 5.0 / 60
Integrated Reasoning 3 / 25%
------------------------------
430
I understand that I am missing some of the main concepts and that I would need to practice every day to perform better. I would really appreciate if you can provide me with an advise or some practical tips on how to improve my score.
Thank you for your help.
