Hello everyone,
I need help with the verbal section, overall with RC and CR. I'm a non-native student of GMAT and by now I am doing quite well in all sections (quantitative included) except in RC and CR. I understand SC quite well and by now is not my bottleneck. As a non-native English speaker, I read slow and have problems to undestand many passages in RC and CR. Having this elementals problems, I can not tackle the questions or at least the ones that I need to beat the 700 barrier. In addition I am not able to treat the information given in a passage of a CR question as a hole.
I have been thinking about starting a hard and very strict training in reading. For example reading "the economist" for one hour every day, or buying two or three fiction books. However, before doing so I would like to know people's opinions and experiences so that I can orientate myself towards the right direction.

I'm also non-native and it happened to me during my practice to depend on one word that I wouldn't understand and which of course would be the key-element of the question.

Consider checking out Manhattan-Prep's 6th Edition for CR. Working with a study buddy who is really strong on CR and RC to see how they approach the passage/questions might be helpful as well. Perhaps the way you tackle an Assumption or Boldfaced question may change. If you can find someone who needs help on Quant that could be a good fit.
