I scored a 670 on the GMAT with Q49 and V33.
I have started applying with this score and probably will join a school.
But I am not happy with the verbal score and want to improve just for my own confidence.
On any day, I manage to score 49/50 in Quants even without prep.
I did improve in SC immensely but not really good with CR and RC.
I want to have same level of comfort in Verbal section as in Quant.
I am not looking for an immediate change. I want to give some time say 3-6 months and develop my verbal skills gradually. As I believe unlike SC other areas need time for improvement.
I am not in a hurry as I am already applying to schools with 670.
I want to understand what I can do to develop my verbal skills in long run. For ex. if it has to be reading what kind of sources etc.

It's good to see that you're trying to improve your skills, as it's almost always a good idea to read more. Try to start with The New York Times and The Economist. But since you're not doing this for the GMAT, you could switch to material that more closely matches your personal/professional interests. This could include books and industry-specific publications.
