Hello everyone,
Wanna join Finance MBA in the world's top 20/30 universities , please help me to decide on how to pin down my selection
Still have 2-3 years before joining any MBA course
Brief profile description :
------------------------
Currently working with IBM for past 2 years <awarded appreciation & promotion> ,
Completed graduation in engg with 3.4 GPA<Btech> but currently interested for finance field
Planning to appear for CFA Level 1 and Level 2 exams in the next 2 years and also planning to shift to some banking job
GMAT yet to be taken < target 700+ >
Active member of toastmaster
Been active member in college and school with all round activities ( Event manager at Techfest , House captain , dance , elocution , volleyball, hockey, football, swimming champion , university swimming champion , enjoyed playing a lot of games , etc. )
Been involved with NGO as a supporter
WHat are the factors to look for while selecting the colleges for FINANCE MBA with my kind of profile mix?
Please suggest any college that you feel will be right fit for me and also if there is any improvement needed from my side. (as i have time to plan and sort things before MBA)

Hi Sumant,
You have a decent profile. If you are seriously passionate about your MBA from top 20/30 Business Schools then I would suggest you to work hard on your GMAT. Start your preparation soon for your GMAT. To get admit into top B-School you need to target 700+. You can make your application more strong by submitting a good essay and working hard on your application and interviews. Most of the Business Schools see a combination of all these things to grant an admission. You can also download this GMAT test Tool https://bit.ly/TZTsle and start taking such kind of GMAT tests.
As per your profile I would also suggest you to target B-Schools like Chicago Booth, Stanford, University of Notre Dame, Rice University, University of Rochester(Simon), Washington University these are among the top US B-Schools focused more on finance, where you can apply. There are many more but the mentioned list comprises of a few good ones in the US that you should definitely target. It is highly advisable in your case to focus on your application evaluation essays. This is where you can demonstrate your leadership qualities, achievements, professional vision and other abilities. A well presented and perfectly written essay is absolutely critical to make a strong case for yourself during the final interview.
