How to prepare for quant section???

Hey,

I have recently started to prepare for GMAT and I want to know which books and classes should I refer for quant, if my aim is to complete it within 1 month.

Please suggest study material for quant section considering I want to start from basics.

Hi  Gurjeetk

You can start with Manhattan Guides. It will start from the basics that would help you cover all the necessary topics. It also have very good questions, although there are not many still it will help you with the concepts. Then you can start practising OG questions because those questions are most reliable questions (the kind you’d expect in GMAT). Also note that don’t leave any topic in quant if you are aiming above Q45. If you’re done with GMAT Prep mocks then you can shift to GMAT Prep questions for practice.

Have you given TTP a try? If not, I'd strongly recommend TTP for Quant since it organically covers anything and everything your GMAT can ask from Quant per se. Ofcourse you can try their 5 day trial course and see for yourself

For quant,you can trust on TTP.it will take you 47-50 range.just keep patience & do their practice test untimed. If you're still confused try their $1 trial.

Hi Gurjeetk,

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you are going to limit your studies to approximately just 1 month, then there will likely be a limit to how much you can improve in that time.

Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can access 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have that Score, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.
