Hi everyone.
My GMAT is in 1 week and honestly I am only concerned with quant since it's what my school wants. But getting a decent verbal score wouldn't hurt.
I did GMAT 3 times. Got 29, 27, 26 at verbal. And this 29 score was when I didn't even look at verbal, I just used my intuition and scored better then when I studied for like 200 hours for it.
Honestly I am very skeptical about the objectivity of verbal section, I think that if you are born in the US you are at a huge advantage over non-US born people. On top of that I don't see how does writing "between" or "among" define if I will be good in business.. Who cares? It's a language, everyone makes mistakes and as long as you are understood, all is fine!
So in short, I really don't like the Verbal section and I don't "believe" in it.
I speak 4 languages and linguistics always came very easy to me. So it's really strange how I can't get what the duck GMAT wants from me.
Is there any quick crash course out there? I don't want to memorize a gazillion of grammar rules, etc. Just a general outline to push me to like a V33 or V35 maybe?
I need something that will explain WHAT DOES GMAT WANT FROM ME in verbal section if you know what I mean.
Suggestions are welcome!
