Hi all,
Thank you again for your wonderful questions yesterday, and sorry I did not get through all of them. Below are my responses to all the unanswered questions. If you would like to continue the conversation, please reach out:
https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-callabcdddddd Question: Are deferred admissions’ applicants considered re-applicants when they apply for MBA programs?
Answer: Yes, deferred admission applicants are considered reapplicants when they apply for the MBA program.
Essaki Question: Hi, Indian male engineer with 5+ years of experience is B2B sales. I am looking for a field change. Will my experience in a different field be a hindrance to my selection ?
Answer:Your prior experience can be beneficial if approached from the right lens. I recommend being introspective and identify transferable skills in application. If you would like to talk further about your individual background and future goals, please reach out:
https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-call@hunderboltness Question: I am a litigation lawyer and have been a part of some exceptional matters. Also, I do stand up comedy as a hobby. I want to transition to consulting. Though I am struggling with the GRE. What schools would you suggest ?
Answer: I would love to hear your story - it sounds interesting, please reach out for a profile evaluation, where we can also talk about your school selection:
https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-callwritemail2angelo Question: How is the John Hopkins Carey school of business MBA program. As there are no rankings about the school. Could you share some insight
Answer: I focus on the top 20 MBA programs, and cannot speak with any high degree of certainty about JHU Carey. Depending on your goals, you want to choose a school that has a good reputation within your chosen field, and at least some brand-name recognition, even if its regional.
SP21 Question: what is an ideal profile and GMAT score for INSEAD
Answer: INSEAD's middle 80% GMAT range between 670 and 750. Based on past experience, a competitive GMAT score would be +/> than 700. That said, it all depends on the rest of your profile. When you are ready for a profile evaluation, please reach out:
https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-callyashikaaggarwal Question: I have done bachelor’s in business. Recently graduated so don’t have work experience. I am thinking about doing MIM now. I just want to know if I want to do MBA in future Like 4-5 years ahead of now. Will it be advisable to do MBA after MIM?
Answer: It all depends on your goals. If, after obtaining your MIM, you feel that you still need an MBA to succeed in your career, then absolutely go for it. Be prepared to answer the Why an MBA question.
abhishekpasricha Question: I am 30 year old with heavy tech consulting experience in IBM & Deloitte along with experience of setting up my own restaurant brand.I am not able to reach 700+ on my GMAT somehow. MY goal is to stick to Tech only but work in multiple countries. I have 3 queries 1) I have 3 years of Bachelors degree ( B.Sc in IT ) 2) Any idea that my 3 year degree will be a hurdle for NYU Stern, MIT Sloan, Cornell Tech MBA, Rotman, Ivey & Insead 3) Will the age of 30 be a negative factor in any of these colleges.
Answer: Yes, your B.Sc. in IT should be sufficient to apply. While your age is over the class average, you should be able to speak about the experiences you bring to the cohort to mitigate. When you are ready, please reach out so we can further discuss your background and experiences:
https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-callkntombat Question: Which country would you say one should choose for an mba amongst the following: Germany, Singapore, India, Australia, New Zealand

https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-callinsertnicksname Question: I’m interested in a program in Asia (I’m from the Philippines), but are Filipinos overrepresented now in NUS, SMU? Also thinking about Japan but I don’t know Japanese. SHould i focus my research only in Asia since I think my score and financials won’t be enough for Europe or US.
Answer: I recommend you reach out to discuss your profile, as it's difficult to answer without knowing your background.
https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-callVanderbiltRohan Question: Is the next application cycle (class of 2023) expected to be more competitive or expected to have fewer candidates? Also I know people say it is harder for Indian men to get into business schools. Though my ethnicity is Indian - I am a US citizen and I was a humanities major - and will work at a big consulting firm after I graduate from Vanderbilt - will being Indian still hurt me in this situation? I’m very worried about not getting into my dream school just because of the color of my skin
Answer: I sympathize with your worry. Indeed, schools want a diverse cohort, so they place limits. I do recommend that you spend time conveying how your experiences (life and professional) make you different from others in your demographic. As to the competitiveness of the cycle, I do anticipate a more competitive cycle. There will be applicants that deferred due to COVID, re-applicants, and new applicants that planned to apply this cycle. I recommend submitting strong applications round 1 (as many as you can submit) to increase your chances. I welcome speaking a conversation to get to know your background and see how I can help. When ready, please reach out:

temitope2000 Question: Hello, I’ve about 10 years experience in finance and investment banking, pls which top BS should I prioritise

Answer: To determine which school to apply to, I require a further understanding of your background. That said, global EMBAs that you can research include INSEAD, Triumph Global EMBA (a partnership between NYU Stern, LSE, and HEC Paris), and IESE GEMBA.

https://www.siaadmissions.com/exploratory-strategy-calllibinrnish question: Will learning the school’s local language helps in your admission.
Answer: learning a new language takes time and effort. Because most global MBA programs teach courses in English, I only recommend learning a new language if it's related to your career or if it's a school requirement. I recommend you use the time to strengthen your profile instead.
