Hi,
I'm studying for my GMAT test right now and I have a question.
Lets say that I'll score 51 in the quant section, and that I wish to have a total GMAT score of 700+ (lets say around 720-750).
This means that my verbal score must be 37 or above (or 82%+).
When practicing verbal questions in gmatclu, which level is high enough? I found just 2 meters to track my level: the "DIFFICULTY" shown in the GMAT timer statistics, and the difficulty tag dividing questions to 3 levels (700+, 600-700, sub-600).
I just want to have a "rule of thumb" to know where am I standing.
My guess is that I have to be very good in the sub-600, pretty good in the 600-700, and not-so-good in the 700+. This means being somewhere around the ~650 according to the difficulty tags.

To score V37+, you need to get around 75%+ of the counted verbal questions you see correct, and the counted questions will likely all be medium or hard questions. Probably, you won't see any easy counted questions if you're scoring V37+
So, when you're practicing, you need to be very good in sub-600 level questions and 600-level questions and pretty good in 700 level questions.
To be well positioned to achieve your score goal, you could achieve the following accuracies when answering questions untimed:
- In verbal questions rated up to 35%, close to 100%
- In verbal questions rated 45% to 65%, 90%+
- In verbal questions rated 75% to 95%, 70%+
Your accuracies could be slightly lower timed, but you should achieve the above high accuracies untimed before seeking to answer verbal questions timed.

You need to solve the initial 8-10 questions correctly though..so that you remain in the 650-700 level question category for most part of your test.
