GENERAL APPROACH TO GMAT SC
Learn general rules of grammar and usage
Learn about and master the most common error in GMAT SC
[/u]Steps to deal with the question itself[/u]
step 1: Read and understand the sentence completely
( do not look just at the underlined part)
step 2: Split the sentence into grammatical units and check for errors
possible divisions can be made on the basis of
a) Parts of speech ( at word level)
b) phrases and
c) clauses.
step 3. scan the choices vertically for differences.
step 4. While through step 2 and 3 , apply rules of grammar and eliminate wrong choices until youhave one answer left
(Important note: make use of the scratch paper given to keep track of your elimination and selection)
step 5. put your final answer back into the original sentence and do a final check before selecting it!
This will help you overcome your SC Fear!
