How to start my GMAT prep?

Hi all,
I’ve just started my GMAT preparation and I’m feeling really overwhelmed. I’m trying to understand the structure and format of the exam, but I don’t know where to begin or how to build a strong foundation. Should I buy an online course or consider joining a tutor? I’d really appreciate any guidance or recommendations to help me get started.
I came across several recommended GMAT prep courses on Reddit, including 
Princeton Review, 
Manhattan Prep, 
Target Test Prep (TTP), 
e-GMAT, 
and Magoosh. 
I’m not sure which one to choose. Can anyone share their experience or help me decide which course would be the best fit for a beginner?

If you're new to the GMAT, consider taking an official mock after getting a bit familiar with the material. Could help give a sense where you currently stand (including on the three sections). Based on how close/far you are to your target score, you could structure your prep accordingly.

You can think of your prep options on 4 levels with increasing levels of interactivity and personalisation:

1. Self study just using the books
2. Using online tools like TargetTestPrep and eGMAT
3. Group classes like Manhattan and Princeton
4. Personal Tutoring

Your choice depends on 
1) where you're starting from in terms of the core skills the GMAT tests
2) how much time you have
3) your target score

2 and 3 particularly will help you to determine whether personal coaching is the right thing for you.
