Hi Guys,
I appeared for GMAT exam first time in September 2018 and I managed 650 (Q49 V29), which was below average for the institutes I am targeting. I felt my verbal section is underpreprared especially SC section. So before appearing for the second time, I gave loads and loads of time to SC and CR, practiced all hard questions (level>700) and I was able to manage accuracy of 60-65%. I gave 6 Kaplan Mock test (scored 710 and above in all of them) and 2 GMAT Prep test (scored 740 in both of them). I was pretty confident this time that I will get more than 720 in actual GMAT.
I gave second attempt on 19th Nov, 2019 and to my utter dissappointment I got a shocking score of 600 (Q49 V24). I am really really disappointed , frustrated and depressed with the score I got. I am really not able to find gap in my preparation. I dont know what went wrong on test day, in which section I performed poor.
I gave plenty of time to SC and CR not that much to RC, I feel RC questions let me down. I followed the startegy fo spending maximum time to top 20 questions so that accuraucy is higher and then for the last remaining questions as time left was very less so I rushed with RC and looked for RC and CR questions. Please let me know what should be the exact startegy to score higher on verbal? What new should I do before appearing again ? Need a serious mentor help.
