The experience will be greatly valued -- if you properly present it in your applications and can demonstrate your levels of responsibility. The biggest issue with candidates facing this situation is that they often times have trouble securing recommendations -- so start to think about who might be compelling recommenders from your first day. Also, make sure that you have a clearly defined role and title -- and are not just classified as your father's son. Lastly, keep a log/journal of all that you do -- people in your position often do a lot more than your formal job entails and they often forget about a lot of thee experiences when the time comes to start writing your essays.

Good luck.

Thanks for that info.
So the info. you have given that there would be no issues working in a family business. is it across all counties or just the US.?

You have to be a little more thoughtful

If working in an MNC makes you happy then continue there. If working in your fathers business makes you happy then do that. Don't live your life for an MBA admission. Lead your life in what best serves you and then do an MBA in between.
