B is sufficient.
44168236y / ( 3 * 11 ) = k which is a integer.
The last digit of 44168236y has to be 2 to be divisible by 11.
The resulting number when divided by 11 is also divisible by 3
A is not sufficient because y can be 0, 2, 6 etc

I got B as well
This problem would have been tougher if y were to take the spot of the other 2 (44168y362 instead of 44168236y).
However, if you know the test of divisibility for 11 it doesnot matter which spot y occupies.
