What's your problem dude?

I am giving my personal view and experience in detail. Be more specific about what you think "few truths" - that is : if you can...

Read my other post and see where the numbers come from.

Your views are not an "opinion," they're a "study" you did. Please, by all means, post your "study" here. Let's take a look at the entire "study" so that I can see these insightful postulations that you may have failed to post.

Read your other posts? You have 10 posts. Give me a break.

Don't post things like a 100 point swing, that's just comical. I'm going to guess that you haven't even taken a gmat cat yet. You probably just browsed a Princeton Review book and took a gander here.

Hey, I understand you're trying to make the OP feel better, but don't do it by giving the OP false hope either.

The "study" is posted right after this message, probably was being posted when you were writing yours...

I said "other post" meaning the study. I know I am new and don't have many posts. That does not make my opions any less solid.

Quite the contrary, I've taken the GMAT, it is even in my profile here. Finished both OG, Kaplan,Princeton Review and some Manhattan Review books in the last couple of months. Took 6 GMAT CATS (kaplan, princeton review,GMATPrep, PowerPrep)... About the 100 point swing, I totally believe is POSSIBLE, not a SURE thing. Two examples from my friend circle:
a)1st try 690, 2nd try within 3 weeks : 770
b)1st try 650, 2nd try within 3 weeks : 570

Yes, not 100 points, but pretty darn close...

False hope is the least of my intentions. I hate receiving it, why should I be giving it?

I think there is a big misunderstanding here...

I love this website. I really do. There's an awesome community here and it has helped me to do well on the gmat. When people come and fester this place with fallacies, it upsets me greatly.

Now, do I have to bring up the fact that he has made a generalization based on two, let me repeat, TWO cases? Do I need to dignify his comment with a response? It should be plain to everyone.

manylander

Average score on the actual exam is 32 points higher than that of GMATPrep.

Manylander

Where do you get this information? I've read many "shared experiences" here and the GMAT and GMATPrep difference is minimal.

Like I said to manylander, I'm sure his intentions were good, but the conclusions he is reporting is just completely wrong.
