I think the answer is A
In the first sentence itself it is given that, there are some who consider work environment as important factor in chosing but all consider salary as important factor. So I think the answer should be A, as B give some possibility not a confirm thing whereas question asked something that must me true.

Hi Antreev,

The reason (A) cannot be our answer is because it says "ALL". How do we know about everyone who believes work environment is important? We just know about SOME of the people who are graduates.

Here is a link for anyone who wants further explanations: https://forum.powerscore.com/lsat/viewtopic.php?t=12771

Does this help?

(A) All people who consider work environment an important factor in choosing a job also consider salary an important factor: We know about recent university graduates and not all people. There might be people beyond the set of university graduates who consider work environment important. Incorrect.
(B) At least some people who consider work environment an important factor in choosing job consider vacation policy an important factor as well. Can be correct. Hold.
(C) At least some veteran employees do not consider work environment an important factor in choosing a job. We know some veteran employees do, but no information about veteran employees who do not consider environment an important factor. Incorrect.
(D) All people who consider vacation policy an important factor in choosing a job also consider salary an important factor. All people is too broad a category. W know about recent university graduates who are a sub-section of all people. Hence, information in passage not sufficient to comment about "all people". Incorrect
(E) No one for whom salary is an important factor in choosing a job also considers stress level an important factor. Again, too broad a category and too extreme a statement. There might be veterans for whom salary might be important. Incorrect.

Therefore, B.

The premise say that :
1. Only some of the University graduates thing Work env is an important factor.
2. All university grads think that vacation is an important factor.

This means that out of all the people who think work env is an important factor, some of them are university grads. and all of the university grads think that vacation is important.
So some people(Uni grads) who think work env in important also think that vacation is important.(Option B says that.)

I fell for the same answer

But the options helped me to think of another alternative

We agree that All recent grads who want Work Env also want salary
but say for instance the veterans

All might include the veterans too

Do even veterans who want Work Env also want salary?

I think then we can safely eliminate A as its not complete

Beautiful question. Although i marked the incorrect option.

The key is to realize that the passage talks about GRADUATES but the options talk about PEOPLE.
This adds another condition to the problem statement : All graduates are people but all people are not graduates.

It's realizations like this that help people overcome those traps on test day. Making sure you are aware of the assumptions that the test wants you to make, when you shouldn't make them, goes a long way to getting a 700+.

Human resources director: While only some recent university graduates consider work environment an important factor in choosing a job, they all consider salary an important factor. Further, whereas the only workers who consider stress level an important factor in choosing a job are those few veteran employees, every recent university graduate considers vacation policy an important factor.

If all of the statements of the human resources director are true, then which one of the following must be true?

(A) All people who consider work environment an important factor in choosing a job also consider salary an important factor - WRONG. Reverse of the first statement of the passage that can't be true always. It may or may not be the case. Looks good at first read but "ALL" is a red flag. Also, relation between two in a reverse needs to be identified properly.
(B) At least some people who consider work environment an important factor in choosing job consider vacation policy an important factor as well - CORRECT. POE helps.
(C) At least some veteran employees do not consider work environment an important factor in choosing a job - WRONG. We are not sure bout this as nothing from passage is suggested.
(D) All people who consider vacation policy an important factor in choosing a job also consider salary an important factor - WRONG. LLike A this also uses "ALL" - a red flag. This is more difficult than A even though it looks similar to A. It's because we have "they all consider salary an important factor" and "every recent university graduate considers vacation policy an important factor" which seem to suggest that what this option says is inferable. But since the relation between the factors considered in this option is not directly related in the passage, a relation needs to be identified, and which may go either way.
(E) No one for whom salary is an important factor in choosing a job also considers stress level an important factor - WRONG. There's no relation between the two factors as such in the passage. It can be so that some do.

Tough question but answer correct, though took too much time.

Enjoyed the little conversations posted by other members. Here's my inputs.
A, B and D are the three that stand a chance as i see it.
A and D look similar and since there is only one correct answer, it can only be B.

People - Loved this input shared by Dooperman also. :)

Answer B.
