I am confused between "whenever" and "only when"... can someone please clarify ??
Statement - "Result is even only when N is even".
Conclusion from the above statement -
1. When N is even, the Result is EVEN
2. When N is NOT even, the result is NOT even. i.e when N is ODD, result is ODD
Stament - "Result is EVEN whenver N is even"
Conclusion from the above statement -
1. When N is even, the resut is EVEN.
what else can we conclude ??? how is "whenever" different from "only when" ???

Helps rephrasing the text:
Statement - "Result is even ONLY when N is even".
Meaning - We get an even Answer ONLY when N is even.
(1) "When N is even, the Result is EVEN".
Just says, N (even) --> Result (even). We dont know what the result will be when N is ODD.
(2) "when N is ODD, result is ODD "
Here we dont know how the result would be when N is EVEN.
Putting these 2 together - we know that:
When N is even, the Result is EVEN & when N is ODD, result is ODD,
This means that Result is even ONLY when N is even (Corollary - The Result is ODD ONLY when N is ODD).
