Hello
animagreborn,
Sorry to hear about your rejection. All business schools look to fill their classes with diverse candidates and you cannot always predict which school might need someone who fits your profile. Since ISB was the only school you seriously applied to, adding a broad range of schools the next time around will be key.
If you plan on reapplying, there are a few areas you may want to focus on. For one, if you are not confident that you had the best LORs, consider asking someone else to write a new one for you this year.
Since you were rejected after receiving an interview, you should re-visit your preparation plan. Consider a mock interview with a consultant or an experienced coworker to discover your weaknesses and improve your skills.
What was your undergrad GPA? Even though a 700 GMAT is good for ISB, you may have to further prove your analytical abilities by taking an online course.

ISB was the only B-School I seriously applied to. After being invited for interview (which went for about an hour or so), I felt pretty positive about my chances. I would say I have a pretty good profile with lots of achievements and social work to my credit. I had a GMAT 700 (I scored this at the last moment (Did not get time to top this score). But it was a big shocker that I did not make it despite making it to interview round...
Q1. Was this year tougher than previous years to get in? Why?
Q2. What is the expected scenario of admissions for next year? Will it be tougher?
Thanks for answering my questions in advance
