Hi Newdudeintown

I would advice not to cancel any of the scores. Your GRE and GMAT equivalent scores are not very different (Same verbal but 42/43 on quant) and some MBA programs may prefer GMAT over GRE scores. Please send your GRE or GMAT score suited to each application.
Best of luck for your applications!

Newdudeintown
Hi everyone,

I gave both the GRE & GMAT and I'm trying to decide which score to send to my university of choice.

I gave the GRE this January and obtained the following:
Quant: 162
Verbal: 152
AWA: 5/6
Total: 314/340

Since I will be applying for MBA, I wanted to check the equivalent GMAT score as well. I used the official GRE® Comparison Tool for Business Schools at ETS:
and it says my equivalent GMAT score is 610 with Predicted GMAT Verbal score: 29 and Predicted GMAT Quantitative score: 43.

I gave the GMAT exam today and obtained the following:
Verbal: 29
Quant: 42
Total: 590

Since I scored better on the GRE, I should cancel my GMAT scores, right? Urgently seeking the advice of this community.

Hi Newdudeintown,

In general terms, and based on the percentiles, you would likely be a bit better off submitting your GRE results. You're ultimately asking an Admissions question though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

1) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to? If you're planning to apply sometime soon, then what specific application deadlines are you facing?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi Newdudeintown,

Before making any decisions, I think these are the questions you need to answer:

1. Do you have a list of desired schools?

2. If so, what are the average GRE or GMAT scores at those schools?

3. Do any of your desired schools prefer one exam over the other?

If you can get those questions answered I think you'll be able to determine which exam to use in your applications. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

Consider googling or reaching out to the specific school to know what its policy is. Stanford, for example, mentions "If you take both exams, you may provide both scores."

You would probably be better to submit your GRE results in general, depending on the percentiles. But since this is essentially an admissions question, you'll probably want to discuss your intentions and overall profile with an admissions expert.
