I told my new boss - who had no prior knowledge of my MBA plans - and he says: "Good, I'm glad - well not that you are quitting, but that you are getting your MBA. Actually you and I should talk... I'm kind of in a similar situation... maybe one day we can chat more..." I have no idea what he meant.... maybe he's going to Kellogg or something! But in any case............ Jokes aside.. it is... I was talking to the career services office at the GSB and they basically told me "Just catch up on sleep now, worry about this stuff later." I don't think they were kidding.

I was more thinking of a pretty standard cost ($40k fees per year, so $10k living expenses = $100k). I have hardly had a chance to sit down this past month, and it isn't going to ease up. Got to sell the car, empty the house, ship stuff, book flights, leaving drinks, train staff...

Congrats! if you weren;t slacking off at work before, may the real slacking begin. I gave in my notice last week, and its been smoooooth sailing since. July 31st is my last day - it'll be somewhat anticlimatic i think.

3 days till you quit or till your last day?

3 days left for me....my last day is Friday the 13th!! I did that on purpose. I'm busting my a$$ right now, trying to get everything documented for my successor, who won't be hired for a while. I think i'll actually end up working a little bit this weekend. I forgot about a grant report that was due. Either way, I am SO GLAD it's almost over! I need the time to relax a bit, and to get moved.
