I'm feeling really discouraged. Aside from work and all other obligations, I have tried studying for more than 150-200 hours since April. But I have no made any significant improvements in my practice tests. I am stuck in the mid-high 500 range. I have made mistakes that I have recently been trying to fix, such as not maintaining an error log. But with one week from my test, I just wanted to vent.

Does anyone have suggestions for me? I started studying in April and need to focus on other work-related things so going forward I cannot commit the time I've put into studying for the past few months. I'm willing to take the test again, but I'm not sure if I should try it again in a few months or not.

Below are my practice tests. As you can see, I'm not improving at all. I feel like every time I take a new test I see questions that I thought I was better prepared for or questions that bring in new concepts.

Hi surfingpirate,

Back in March/April, you stated that your Score Goal was 720+. Assuming that that is still your Goal, then based on your given CAT Scores you're not performing at that level yet. As such, you should consider pushing back your Test Date (which you can do for a $50 fee as long as you do so at least 7 FULL days before your Official Test Date). If it's not less than 7 full days, then it's too late to reschedule - and you might as well take the GMAT as scheduled (with the goal of using the entire 'event' as a learning experience so that you can better prepare for your next attempt).

Since most of your CAT Scores revolve around 560, it's likely that you have gotten 'stuck' at this particular score level (and you may have developed some 'bad habits' that will take time to fix - and replace with new 'good habits').

1) What study materials have you used so far?
2) Is your Score goal still 720+ or is it now something different?
