Hey everyone,
My name is Rajat, live in India. I took GMAT in December (for the first and last time) and scored 600. Have a work experience of 15 months in Digital Marketing. About to take IELTS in a month. And I've done my undergraduation in BBA with a score of 59.45 %age. Yes i know that i am 0.55 %age shy from first division, but that is the problem. I wanna study in Canada but I just dont know where should I apply for "MBA" OR "MSc in management" bcuz almost every college asks for gpa 3/4 or straight up 60%+ in undergrad. Need suggestions; solutions. Plz help.

As someone who is in Canada, MSc in Management is typically for students who did not take business in their undergraduate degree and do not allow business students to be accepted. This is for most, if not all MM programs. I suggest you look at perhaps a Master in Marketing program.

Best,
DA

That is a very good suggestion. And what colleges/universities do you think will accept my undergrad score?

Umm.. not too sure. You can always offset a low GPA with a high GMAT. I believe the Schulich MMKG or Ivey Msc Digital Management are probably your best options for a great name with a marketing program. But again, you are fighting an uphill battle with a low GPA

This program is also good at Telfer Business School in uOttawa. Again, you need a high GMAT to cover your low GPA.

Hey Rajat1998,

Honestly targeting Canadian schools would be a bit difficult as most of them require a 4-year undergraduate degree and they are very strict with the GPA. So either you can get a one-year diploma degree over here or a pre-master degree over there to be eligible for the Canadian degree.
Your GMAT score is also on the bit lower end but this doesn’t mean that you cannot apply to the business schools I would suggest you target for European schools that don’t require GRE/GMAT and also they are a bit flexible on the GPA part.
As you have mentioned that you have a work experience of 15 months so I would suggest that a master’s in management would be a better option for you. An MBA is targeted for individuals with an average work experience of 3-5 years.
As you have not mentioned about your extra-curricular, achievements, certifications, etc I would suggest you take our profile evaluation through the link below so that you get an in-depth analysis of your profile and the schools that you can target.
