I really do not like to post a bunch of questions at a time but seems everybody is ok with this practice. i will post seperately if any.
12. | x-1|=?
a) | x-1| >1
b) | x|=1/3
13. In 96, the stock price was between 25 k and 32k and in 97 it was between 28k and 40k, what is the highest possible percentage increase in stock price from 96 to 97.
14. 3^(10x+1) + 3 divided by 3, what is the remainder? (Treat this as reference)
15. A price is distributed among n people each one gets 110, if it is divided among n+3, each get 80. prize amount?
16. given x/600 = y/300, Is y = 1000?
I. x+y = 3000
II. x=2y
17. 1/5 of the apples are rotten, 1/3rd of them are useless, if the number of apples that rotten but usable is 400, what is the number of apples?
18. A car traveled 270 miles in 4.5 hrs, how much time is taken if a car travels @ 10 miles less than the first car.
19. How many pencils are there in a shipment?
I. 12 dozen boxes are there in shipment
II. Each box in the shipment has 3 dozen pencils.

St1:
|x-1| can be anything above 1. Insufficient.
St2:
x can be -1/3 or 1/3. If x = -1/3, |x-1| = 4/3. If x = 1/3, then |x-1| = 2/3. Insufficient.
Using st1 and st2,
|x-1| must be 4/3. sufficient.
Ans C
