Hi theplagdude,
Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so since you studied for just 3 days, then you simply did not give yourself enough time to hone all of the Quant and Verbal skills needed to hit your Goal Score. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level; the key word there is 'train' though - you will have to put in a significant amount of time and effort to hit your Goal.
Under the circumstances, a 480 isn't too bad (the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:
1) What study materials do you currently have access to?
2) Did you take any CATs/mocks over your 3 days of study? If you did, then how did you score?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
