Hello all,
I have been studying GMAT for about 6 months and recently I have faced a problem and I hope somebody can help me.
I have finished studying all
MGMAT books as well as Bible ones and since the last month I have been working on GMAT Club math questions, especially those emphasized by Bunuel.
Unfortunately, I have a funny problem in math:
I took GMAT prep 1 and
MGMAT Cat 1 and my scores in math parts were 43 and 41 respectively. After analyzing both exams , I found out that I could answer many questions correctly and easily while during exam I answered them incorrectly. For example, the number of my wrong answers in GMAT prep was 18 but 2-3 days later when I checked those questions (without checking my previous answer and correct answer) I was able to answer 12 of 18 questions correctly.so if I had answered them correctly during the exam I would have gotten a higher score.
In fact I found out that I knew how to answer those questions and nothing was wrong with my knowledge but why I couldn`t answer them correctly during the exam has baffled me.
It happened in
MGMAT cat 1 again and out of 20 wrong answers, during the review, I could answer 10 of them correctly, making me furious about myself.
The questions which I could answer later varied in difficulties, according to Manhattan statistic, I answered correctly a 700-800 level question during the cat but answered incorrectly a 600-700 level question. however during my review that 600-700 level question was really simple to me to answer correctly.
I don`t have such problem in verbal at all.
So I don`t really know what I can do to resolve this issue and I guess if I overcome this problem I can rise my score from 41-43 to about 49.
Please advise me if you have had similar experience before or if you have any suggestions.
Thanks in advanced
