So after 15 years of doing no maths and finishing an MBA in computer animation 7 years ago, i took the Gmat twice and both times scored a 490. My verbal let me down and despite scoring a 42 on quant i only got a 14 on verbal. Mostly down to my mild dyslexia and panicking when i couldnt read a question. Third time lucky and i got a 640 . 44 quant and and 33 verbal. now not the perfect score but a big improvement and good enough to get me into the school i want.
I dont think i could have done it with out you guys and would just like to give you a shout out. I would also strongly advice people who are going to take the Gmat to get the gmat club forums question banks.
I used
manhattan gmat books and they are quite good but the difficulty level is not as hard as the question banks on here (especially quant). You get a high number of similar advanced questions so you have a chance to do a similar type question over and over again.Even though i would come here for advice on some questions, I Unfortunatly deided to only get the question banks a week ago and used that week to cover a lot of the questions. If i had got the question banks a month ago i think i would have got closer to a 700 or a 50 on quant . yes
manhattan Gmat has more fancy stuff to measure your progress and looks prettier :D but the gmat club questions are the best set i have seen online. The only downside is that i spotted a few mistakes, the explanations are not always clear and the forum kept on logging me out while i did questions. All very much still worth it though
