Yet, numerous countries have reported a decrease in the ability of individuals to differentiate between objective truths and deliberate falsehoods.
Akeem: Ancient libraries at Alexandria and Athens also housed immense collections of knowledge, but predated a period known as the Dark Ages. So, it is foolish to assume that a mere proliferation of knowledge would improve public scrutiny of misinformation.
Miranda: That may be, however, then individuals would have needed to travel to a library to benefit from the knowledge it contained. Now, through the Internet, verifiable information is more readily available to a larger population regardless of physical location.
