Hi,
I am aiming for ISB, with a far fetched plan of applying in the second cycle, the cut off date for which is 15th November 2012. I started preparing about a week ago. When is the ideal time that I should give my GMAT?

We always recommend that you take the GMAT as early before your application as possible so that you have time to retake the test if needed, and work for a long time on creating a strong application (essays, recommendations, etc). Hi Vaibhav,
My personal expirience says it requires much more than 3 months to get a good score. The problem is it takes time for you to get acquainted with material and topics. Once you start practising you will come to know more and more examples/patterns. So I would suggest solid 5 months assuming you work really well. Anything less than this would be tough is my opinion !!!
