My driver's license has my middle initial on it; however, when I registered for the GMAT, I didn't enter my middle initial because it wasn't a required field. The website inidicates that the registration name has to be exactly as it appears on your license. Do you think they will give me a problem with this on test day?

I hate to say it, but they might. When I was at the test center, they turned away a woman because she was registered under to married name but her license showed her maiden name. Granted, that is a bigger difference, but in both cases I don't actually think there is any question as to the validity of the ID. It just seems like "rules is rules".
Do you have any time to change your test registration? I'm not sure if they even allow for it.

Wow, that seems a bit extreme. I may be just being paranoid, but after hearing that story, I think I have good reason to be. I did notice that the "middle name" field is not required, which makes me think that they cannot possibly expect me to enter that if it isn't required. I'm not sure if I can change my name after I already registered. I really hope this doesn't cause a problem. It's just one optional letter, after all.
