Please help resolve these Idiom controversies from the GMAT perspective:
1. not only .. but (Kaplan 800 says this is a valid one).
2. none of + [Plural Noun] + [Singular/Plural verb]? (Again Kaplan 800 says Singulare verb only).3. contrast to / contrast with (are both acceptable?)

Highlighted idiom is one of my doubts but w.r.t Pronoun.
Lets have a look at the sentence below:
a) None of the
neighbors offered
their support.
'neighbors' is a plural noun and 'their' is a plural pronoun.
I belive we can use 'their' because we don't know the gender of neighbors.
Now look at the following two sentences:
a) None of the
boys offered
their support.
b) None of the
boys offered
his support.
Which one is correct? (It might be a silly doubt but I need to clear it)
