Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.
I am considering applying for a Masters in Finance from IE University but I am worried my application isn't competitive enough. Can anyone give me their thoughts on my application and how I should improve it based on your personal experiences? I just recently graduated and pretty much have no work experience other than my internship so I wanna know what I can do to increase my chances of admission.
GMAT: 660 (minimum for IE is 650).
Degree: Engineering (2.8/4 GPA, my GPA is pretty bad so I'm worried this will keep me away from any top Masters in Finance. IE is my dream school.)
Work Experience: 2 month internship at a Bank (Not naming it for privacy reasons) in the Foreign Exchange division.
Letters of Recommendation: Boss at Internship, Data Analysis College Professor, Economics College Professor.
Additional Education: (Coursera & EdX Certificates):
MIT: Applied Mathematics for Quantitative Finance.
MIT: Introduction to Computer Science and Programming using Python.
MIT: Derivative Markets Advanced Modeling and Strategies.
Columbia: Financial Engineering & Risk Management Part I.
Columbia: Financial Engineering & Risk Management Part II.
Columbia: Economics of Money and Banking.
UPenn: Fundamentals of Quantitative Modelling.
HSE: Stochastic Processes
Thanks!
