I am interested in the Oxford MFE and want to apply in R2. I just took the GMAT a few weeks ago. My main concern is that my work experience or demonstrated interest in finance is not adequate, since I am not out of school yet. This is my current profile:
GMAT: 740 (Q50, V41, AWA4.5)
Education: Industrial Engineering, BSc, spring 2011
Current GPA: 9.10/10
WE: Summer research intern at Caltech in materials science
Co-founder of an internet start-up
Summer intern at a logistics firm
EC: Student body president, exchange student, research assistant
Help in assessing my profile and goals would be appreciated. For example, what are my chances of admittance? Should I wait for one or two years and get more relevant work experience or apply now as well? Or maybe think about other similar programs?

Hi ieguy,
Most of the class has not got work experience ( 33% of the class does) so it is not a requirement for the entering the programme. The School will look for evidence that you have a genuine passion for finance, and that you have the enthusiasm and motivation to make the most of your time at the School.

I am interested in the same program! My question is how much high school counts. Back in that times, I was lazy and achieved only an average degree. Now in university, its completely different. Ranked by my current gpa, I am somewhere among the top 1% out of 1000.
