I am accepted into IE. Doing research, I would recommend HEC Paris. It is more established I think. Whilst, IE is only just starting gain reputation and is not as worldwidely known.

Any chance to develop your statement further? I read that HEC Paris is well known in France, but besides that IE brand is stronger in Europe.

They are both good schools, with great programmes. But I talked a lot to IE alumni , and some friends in Europe. From their experience, HEC Paris is better known among employers in France, Germany, Switzerland etc. So it might be easier to find work when you graduate.

If you plan to remain and work in Spain, then obviously this might be irrrelevant for you.

Hi Cugel,

Can you share your decision? I'm also faced the same dilemma between HEC and IE.
I am Indonesian, speak neither French or Spanish. Post MBA goal is Marketing/Consulting work in Asia

Hello!

At the end I decided to go IE, my following reasons:

1) It's only 1 year program
2) I got the fellowship award: chance to work directly w IE Staff
3) It's in the center of Madrid (I already had an experience in the middle of nowhere)
4) I want the chance to follow the entrepreneurial path

Hope it helps, if u are in the Sept intake see u there if you decide to go.

Thank you for reporting back. I just had a chance to visit HK and HKUST a month ago and it is also definitely out there and somewhat isolated in terms of location and language barrier. While they have some classes in Central and other locations, I think I.E. is a great choice. Unless you were looking to be in Asia or spoke the language, I can't see much more reasons not to attend in Europe.

Congratulations and good luck!

Hi Cugel, first of all hope you're having a great time at IE!

I am facing a similar dilemma and cannot decide between HEC, IE, IESE, ESADE & Imperial.

Could you tell us more about your experience at IE so far? I've just read that IE has been excluded from this year's FT rankings...

Is HEC Paris or Imperial more recognized in Europe than IE?

Thank you in advance!!
