Yes, generally speaking if you want to work in the US, you are better off with a US-based program. The resources and recruiting opportunities are infinitely better than for a non-US-based school. Plus, it sends a clear message to recruiters if you are already in the US for school that you want to continue there.

Is there a reason you would think otherwise?

I am an IESE graduate and did my MBA exchange at Kellogg. In terms of quality of education, they are both great and would be very difficult for me to say which one is better.

However, if your goal is to stay in the US and you are not US national (I assume), then your only option is going to Kellogg. I don't know anybody Non-American from my IESE class who ended up working in the US. Basically, it is extremely difficult to get a working visa to work in the US, unless you have earned a degree there. I only know of cases who ended up working in the US after spending a few years in Europe and being rellocated by companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc.
