ASIDE: If you're not sure how to solve this question, an easy alternative is to test each answer choice.
Here's an algebraic solution:
Given: \(\frac{13.5}{\frac{1}{x}−1.1}=−10\)
Multiply both sides by \(\frac{1}{x}−1.1\) to get: \(13.5 =(-10)(\frac{1}{x}−1.1)\)
Expand the right side: \(13.5 =\frac{-10}{x}+11\)
Subtract 11 from both sides: \(2.5 =\frac{-10}{x}\)
Multiply both sides by x to get: \(2.5x =-10\)
Divide both sides by 2.5 to get: \(x =\frac{-10}{2.5}=-4\)
Answer: A

We can take LCM of the fraction in the denominator and then cross multiply to get the answer.
