Solution:
Let us assume the amount = \(x\)
It is given that 14% of the amount = \($420\)
which can be written as: \(\frac{14}{100}*x=420\)
\(x=\frac{420*100}{14}\)
\(x=3000\)
So the amount =\($300\)
Now the question is asking 10 percent of the same amount which can be calculated as:
\(\frac{10}{100}*3000\)
\(=$300\)
Hence the right answer is Option C.
