All options are divisible by 4, so we should find one which is not a factor of 168.
36 is not a factor of 168.

Just check divisibility of 168 by all of the 5 options
\(168 = 2^3 * 3^1 * 7^1\)
Odd man out = \(36 = 2^2 * 3^2\) >> It cannot divide 168
Answer = C
