2(x+y) = 5

x + y = 5/2

y = 5/2 - x

$$2x + 2y = 5$$

Or, $$2y = 5 - 2x$$

Or, $$y = \frac{5 - 2x}{2}$$

Hence, Answer must be (A) $$\frac{5}{2} - x$$
