If 20 circular pepperoni slices each with a 1 inch-diameter cover a circular pizza pie with diameter 14 inches, what fraction of the pizza is covered with pepperoni slices?

20 1 inch diameter circles easily fit into one large 14" diameter circle. See image.
So, all we have to do to is find out the area of the 20 circles (with a 0.5 inch radius) and create a ratio (fraction) with the area of the large circle with a 7 inch radius.
20 circles combined area = 20(pi)(0.5)^2 = 5(pi)
Single circle 7" radius = 49(pi)
ratio = 5/49
