Take: \(\frac{27}{0.5 + y} = 6\)
Eliminate the fraction by multiplying both sides of the equation by \((0.5 + y)\) to get: \(27 = 6(0.5 + y)\)
Expand the right side: \(27 = 3 + 6y\)
Subtract \(3\) from both sides: \(24 = 6y\)
Divide both sides by \(6\) to get: \(4 = y\)
Answer: B
