(-3,-5) lies in third quadrant. It is given that it is midpoint of the part of the line between the x and y axes.
Suppose that line cuts X- axis at (a,0) and Y-axis at (0,b). Mid point will be (a/2, b/2), so a = -6 and b = -10.

So, we have a line that passes through (-6,0) and (0,-10). Slope of the line will be -5/3. (A).

I did not understand the question. What does line between the x and y axes mean. How does the diagram looks like?

The line between x and y axis is the segment between the points where the line cuts the x and y axis.
You can calculate the equation of the line that is:

\(y=\frac{-5x}{3}-10\)
