If 4x = 14 and xy = 1 then y =

A. 56
B. 7/2
C. 2/7
D. 1/5
E. 1.56

\(4x = 14\)

So, \(x = \frac{7}{2}\)

Now, \(xy = 1\) ; So \(\frac{7}{2}*y = 1\)

Hence, \(y = \frac{2}{7}\) ; Answer must be (C)

C. 2/7
D. 1/5
E. 1.56

We see that x =14/4 = 7/2.

Thus:
