D. −18 ≤ ab ≤ 120

Given,

−6 ≤ a ≤ 12
3 ≤ b ≤ 10

Multiply the extreme values:

-6 * 3 = -18

3 * 12 = 36

-6 * 10 = -60

12*10 = 120.

-60≤ab≤120.

ab values we get
-18, -60,36 & 120

max range of ab
−60 ≤ ab ≤ 120

The largest value of ab is obtained by multiplying the greatest possible positive value of a by the greatest possible positive value of b: 12 x 10 = 120

The smallest value of ab is obtained by multiplying the most negative value of a by the greatest positive value of b: -6 x 10 = -60.

Thus, −60 ≤ ab ≤ 120.
