If a printer can print 2 pages of text per second, then, at this rate, approximately how many minutes will it take to print 5,000 pages of text?

(A) 4
(B) 25
(C) 42
(D) 250
(E) 417

If a printer has a rate of 2 pages per second, it has a rate of 2 x 60 = 120 pages per minute.

Thus, it will take 5,000/120 = 41.67 minutes, or about 42 minutes, to print 5,000 pages.

5000 pages.
2 per second.
So 5000/2 = 2500 seconds are needed.
2500/60 = 41.67 minutes are needed.

C, the closest, is my answer.

Given: Printer can print 2 pages in 1 second
So, the printer can print 120 pages in 60 seconds
In other words, the printer can print 120 pages in 1 MINUTE
So, the printer can print 4800 pages in 40 MINUTES

So the correct answer must be a little more than 40 minutes

Answer: C
