If ABCD is a rectangle, what is the area of the triangle PQR?

(Statement1): DQ = QR = RC
—> nothing tells us about the rectangular

Insufficient

(2) The area of rectangle is 38 square centimetres
No info about the triangle.
Insufficient

Taken together 1&2,
ab= 38
—> the area of the triangle:
(a* b/3)/2= (a*b)/6 = 38/6= 19/3

Sufficient

The answer is C

C

Divide the rectangle into triangles
By imaginary lines.

AD/BCE

Now first is insufficient as we don’t know at least one length

So BCE

Now second option alone cannot help us answer.

But together yes sufficient
So C
