A few options here.

One approach is to use equivalent ratios

Let t = time to travel 350 miles

Our ratio is distance traveled/time

We get: 200/4 = 350/t
Cross multiply to get: (200)(t) = (4)(350)
Simplify: 200t = 1400
Solve: t = 7 hours

Formula: Speed = \(\frac{Distance}{Time}\)

Distance covered in 4 hours = 200 miles

Speed of Albert = \(\frac{Distance}{Time}\) = \(\frac{200}{4}\) = 50 miles/hour

Time taken to cover 350 miles = \(\frac{Distance}{Speed}\) = \(\frac{350}{50}\)= 7 hours

The correct answer is C

Albert’s rate is 200/4 = 50 mph.

At this rate, it takes him 350/50 = 7 hours to travel 350 miles.

Answer: C
